2005 HFI Christmas party
After a largely successful 2004 Christmas party at the Pakanham races last year, the HFI took a cost cutting measure from $30/50 to $18 standard and headed to the Systems gardens at the Botany school located on campus. The apparent claim was that the move was made up by a better wine list, and 2 'surprise cocktails'. (However the more astute of us know that it's the lack of funds plus the indecision that ended up with the lack of venues) So for that price, I figured 1 bottle's worth of Glaetzer Bishop shiraz would make up by ticket's worth. Unannounced to all of us was also the rule that there was to be no loud amplified music, no ball games, no fun things to do.. so besides that just stand around and talk and try to have fun. (Could have easily done that in the tearoom, and we'd even have chairs to sit!)
